Breaking News: Former Zanzibar President has died


FORMER second president of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar between April 7th 1972 to January 30, 1984, Aboud Jumbe Mwinyi has died at his home this afternoon Kigamboni in Dar es Saalam
after a long illness.

The death of the veteran politician has been verified by one of the family of the deceased.

Late Messages will be remembered for his great contribution to lead the revolutionary government of Zanzibar replacing the former president of the country late Abeid Aman Karume, who died in 1972.

Days of his life as president of the revolutionary government of Zanzibar has collaborated with the then president of Tanzania and chairman of TANU late Julius Nyerere establish Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) to break TANU and ASP to create a one-party CCM.
